The Foundation & Newsletter

The aim of the Bob Marley Foundation in Jamaica is to support local communities where the need for charitable assistance is greatest. The Foundation, founded in 1986, has contributed financial, cultural and other resources to various communities and organizations in Jamaica. Our intent and motivation is to fulfill the vision of the Honorable Robert Nesta Marley O.M. while reaching those in need through love and brotherhood.

In arts and culture, the Foundation has been involved with art exhibitions, film festivals, workshops for cultural development and talent shows. The major highlight on our calendar of events is the Bob Marley Week celebrations. This major event is a celebration of Brother Bob’s life and is hosted in collaboration with the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission. Further, the Foundation is proud to facilitate much of its work through the Bob Marley Museum that houses a theatre and photographic gallery.

The Bob Marley Foundation is dedicated to perpetuating the spiritual, cultural, social and musical ideals and goals that guided and inspired Bob Marley during his lifetime.
